Tax Sales
The Tax Sales page provides a breakdown of all taxes collected at your store, organized by tax type. This data comes directly from your ENCOR POS system and is useful for reporting and reconciliation.
Tax Type Breakdown
The page displays a table with the following columns:
| Column | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Tax Type | The name of the tax category (e.g., State Tax, County Tax, City Tax) |
| Taxable Amount | The total dollar amount of sales subject to this tax |
| Tax Amount | The actual tax dollars collected |
Tax types are defined in your ENCOR system and synced automatically by the StorePulse agent.
Tax KPI Card
On the Overview Dashboard, the Tax Collected KPI card shows the total tax amount across all tax types for the selected date range. Click through to the Tax Sales page for the full breakdown.
How to Use Tax Data
- Tax reporting: Use the breakdown by tax type to verify amounts when preparing sales tax returns.
- Reconciliation: Compare StorePulse's tax totals against your ENCOR Store Balance Report to ensure they align.
- Multi-rate verification: If your jurisdiction has multiple tax rates (state, county, city), confirm that each is being applied correctly by checking the taxable amounts.
info
Tax types and rates are configured in your ENCOR system. StorePulse displays whatever tax categories ENCOR tracks -- it does not calculate or modify tax amounts.
