Product Sales
The Product Sales page gives you item-level detail -- every product sold in your store, how much it sold for, and how many units moved. This is where you go to find your best sellers, track promotions, and investigate specific items.
Product Table
The main table lists products with the following columns:
| Column | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Product | The item name from your ENCOR system |
| Sales Amount | Total dollar amount sold |
| Quantity | Number of units sold |
| Discounts | Dollar amount of discounts applied to this product |
| Returns | Dollar amount of returns for this product |
| Coupons | Dollar amount of coupons redeemed on this product |
By default, products are sorted by sales amount (highest first) so your top sellers appear at the top.
Searching for Products
Use the search bar at the top of the table to find a specific product by name. Search is fast -- results update as you type with a short delay (about 300 milliseconds) so the page does not reload on every keystroke.
When searching, the page shows up to 50 results to help you find what you need. Outside of search, the table shows 20 items per page.
Filtering by Department
Use the department filter dropdown to narrow the list to a single department. This is useful when you want to see the top-selling products within Produce, Meat, or any other department.
You can also reach a department-filtered view by clicking a department row on the Department Sales page. It will bring you here with the filter already applied.
Pagination
The product table uses pagination to keep the page fast, even if your store has thousands of products. Use the page controls at the bottom to navigate through the list.
Barcode Scanner (Mobile Only)
When using StorePulse as an installed PWA on a mobile device, a camera icon appears next to the search bar. Tap it to open your phone's camera and scan a product's barcode (UPC code).
After scanning, the product's sales data appears immediately. This is a quick way to check how a specific item is performing while walking the store floor.
The barcode scanner requires camera permission. Your browser will ask you to allow camera access the first time you use it. The scanner works best with good lighting and a steady hand.
How to Use Product Data
- Identify top sellers: Know which items drive the most revenue so you can keep them in stock.
- Track promotions: After putting an item on sale, check whether its quantity sold increased.
- Spot high-return items: Products with unusually high return amounts may have quality issues.
- Coupon effectiveness: See which products have the most coupon redemptions to gauge promotional impact.
- Inventory prioritization: Products with consistently high sales should never go out of stock.
