Store Comparison

If you operate multiple store locations, the Store Comparison page lets you view them side by side to benchmark performance and identify which locations are leading or lagging.

Requirements

Store Comparison is available on the Pro and Enterprise plans. You need at least two active stores connected to StorePulse to use this feature.

Selecting Stores to Compare

At the top of the page, use the multi-select dropdown to choose which stores you want to compare. You can select up to 6 stores at a time for a clear, readable comparison.

What You Can Compare

The comparison view shows the following for each selected store, side by side:

  • Gross Sales and Net Sales
  • Customer Count
  • Average Basket Size
  • Scan Rate
  • Voids and Cancellations
  • Refunds

Charts display the same metrics visually, making it easy to spot which store is outperforming or underperforming.

How to Use Store Comparison

Benchmark best practices

If one store consistently has a higher scan rate or lower void rate, find out what they are doing differently. Their procedures or training methods may be worth adopting at other locations.

Identify underperformers

A store with declining sales while others are growing may have a local issue -- staffing, competition, product availability, or customer service.

Fair comparison

Keep in mind that stores may differ in size, foot traffic, and demographics. A smaller store will naturally have lower total sales than a larger one. Focus on rate-based metrics (scan rate, average basket, void rate as a percentage of sales) for fairer comparisons.

Seasonal patterns

Compare how different stores respond to seasonal changes. A store near a school may see different patterns than one near a business district.

tip

Use the date range picker to compare stores over the same period. Weekly comparisons are often more meaningful than single-day snapshots, which can be skewed by one-off events.

info

All stores in the comparison use the same date range. If a store was recently added to StorePulse and does not have data for the full selected range, its numbers will reflect only the days where data is available.
