Install as App

StorePulse is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it on your phone, tablet, or computer and use it like a regular app -- with its own icon, faster loading, and a fullscreen experience.

Why Install?

  • Quick access -- Tap the StorePulse icon on your home screen instead of opening a browser and typing the URL
  • Faster loading -- The app caches resources locally so pages load quicker
  • Fullscreen experience -- No browser address bar or tabs taking up screen space
  • Offline indicator -- Clearly see when your device is offline

Installing on iPhone or iPad (iOS)

  1. Open Safari and go to app.storepulse.us.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top right corner.
  5. The StorePulse icon will appear on your home screen.
warning

On iOS, you must use Safari to install a PWA. Chrome and other browsers on iOS do not support the "Add to Home Screen" feature for PWAs.

Installing on Android

  1. Open Chrome and go to app.storepulse.us.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm by tapping Install.
  5. The StorePulse icon will appear in your app drawer and home screen.

Installing on Desktop (Windows or Mac)

  1. Open Chrome and go to app.storepulse.us.
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (it looks like a monitor with a down arrow, or a plus symbol).
  3. Click Install.
  4. StorePulse opens in its own window, separate from your browser.

You can also find the install option under Chrome's three-dot menu, listed as Install StorePulse.

After Installing

Once installed, StorePulse behaves like a native app:

  • It appears in your app switcher and taskbar
  • It opens in its own window (no browser chrome)
  • On mobile, it launches in fullscreen mode
  • You stay logged in between sessions

Mobile-Only Features

When using StorePulse as an installed PWA on a mobile device, you get access to the barcode scanner on the Products page. This lets you scan a product's UPC code with your phone camera to quickly look up its sales data.
